Particle Size Distribution Models for Metallurgical Coke Grinding Products

نویسندگان

چکیده

Six different particle size distribution (Gates–Gaudin–Schuhmann (GGS), Rosin–Rammler (RR), Lognormal, Normal, Gamma, and Swebrec) models were compared under metallurgical coke grinding conditions (ball time). Adjusted R2, Akaike information criterion (AIC), the root mean of square error (RMSE) employed as comparison criteria. Swebrec RR presented superior criteria with higher goodness-of-fit lower AIC RMSE, containing minimum variance values among data. The worst model fitting was GGS, poorest a wider results variation. undulation parameter ball time-dependent, considering greater b (b > 3) at longer times. ? does not exhibit defined tendency related to conditions, while k presents smaller Both depend on are hence an indication behaviour. Finally, oversize ultrafine particles found sizes 4.0 cm according time. 2.54 shows slight changes in median diameter over time, 3.0 requires more time reduce particles.

investigation of models for describing soil particle size distribution

in the present study, five log-normal models, normal model (n), and two four- parameter models namely gompertz (g) and fredlund (fr) were tested on 71 psd data from 10 soil textural classes. the jaky (j) and fr models had the smallest and largest r2 values for all of the soils, respectively. the results of comparing the n and simple log-normal (sl) models showed that the accuracy of the n model...

comparing log-normal and gamma distribution models for representation of soil particle-size distribution

abstract in recent years, many researchers have attempted to estimate the soil hydraulic functions (e.g. soil moisture characteristics curve, and hydraulic conductivity function) using particle-size distribution (psd) curve. in these studies, an accurate mathematical representation of psd is required for fitting the observed data. so far, some mathematical models were developed with different l...

effect of grinding method on energy consumption and particle size distribution of blended cements

the benefits of using mineral admixtures as a partial replacement of portland cement (pc) are well established in the literature. economic and environmental advantages by reducing co2 emissions are well known. this paper examines the influence of intergrinding and separate grinding on the amount of energy consumption, blaine fineness and particle size distribution (psd) of blended cements, name...

Katja Ohenoja PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION AND SUSPENSION STABILITY IN AQUEOUS SUBMICRON GRINDING OF CaCO3 AND TiO2

During the past decade submicron and nanoparticles have aroused a wide interest and gained new applications due to their high surface area and strength. Grinding with a wet stirred media mill is usually the last process step before the submicron or nanoparticles are added to an application, and the step where the final particle size distribution is achieved. Since stirred media milling is an en...
